Every week of Summer Days at Griffin First is intentionally structured to balance growth, fun, and stability.

FAQ
Registration & Payment
- Do I have to register for the whole summer, or can I choose specific weeks? Just the specific weeks you need. We want to be a flexible program for families, we understand that summer time consists of family vacations, trips, and time off so we will accommodate these the best we can- with week by week registration. We do ask that you register for all weeks by May 15 for staffing and scheduling.
- Is there a registration fee? We require a $100 registration deposit to hold your child's spot. This is applied to their first week of tuition.
- Do you offer sibling discounts? We do offer a sibling discount- $5 per child off of each child from the same household. We will apply after registration is complete.
Daily Logistics
- What should my child bring each day? We encourage kids to bring a water bottle, blanket/towel, and a book to read. Each week will will also send home communications if anything else is needed.
- Do children need to bring lunch and snacks? Breakfast and Lunch meals will be available for purchase. Pricing will be available soon-Menu will be provided. Children can also bring a meal from home. All snacks will be provided this year.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
- What time is drop-off and pick-up? We are open from 7am- 6pm. We start our morning activities at 9AM. We encourage that families drop off prior to that. Due to field trips, pick up times may vary, we will communicate that as soon as possible.
- Who is allowed to pick up my child? When completing the registration process, you will provide a list of appropriate people who can pick up your child(ren). We will require photo ID and your family pick up list can be updated at any time. We do ask that you communicate who is going to pick up at drop off, when someone else is picking up.
Safety & Staffing
- What is the staff-to-child ratio? 1:15
- Are staff members background checked? All of our team is background checked and trained specifically for this program.
Health & Policies
- What if my child has allergies or medical needs? Allergies, Special & Medical Needs should be communicated on your child's waiver & registration form. We will contact parents should we have more questions or need additional information.
- What happens if my child gets sick during the day? We have a well-child policy that all families should follow: Fever & Symptom free for 24 hours prior to returning to Summer Days. However if a child develop symptoms during the day, parents will be contacted to come and pick them up. If your child is picked up they cannot return until they are symptom free.
Program Experience
- Will there be water days, outdoor play, or special events? Yes! We are putting the final touches on our Events Calendar, we will have on campus activities, off campus field trips, special guests, and special themes throughout the summer. The calendar will be uploaded on this page when it is finished. Examples from previous years: Music Lessons (Drums, Guitar, and Piano) Art Classes, Swimming at the Aquatic Center, Karate Classes, Urban Air, Bowling, Movies, Cooking Classes, GA Aquarium, Zoo, Reptile Show, etc.
- Will there be Bible lessons or faith-based activities? YES! We will have a VBS style teaching each day of Summer Days! Bible Lessons, Worship, Crafts, Games, Memory Verse, Science and Object Lessons are all included! Each week our VBS Lessons will change theme and we also decorate to match the theme! There will also be incentives throughout the summer to help challenge kids to learn and put into practice what they have heard.

Summer Days at Griffin First is a flexible, faith-based weekday summer experience designed to support families throughout the entire summer. Running May 26 through July 24 from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, the program provides consistent care, meaningful spiritual formation, and engaging activities for elementary-aged kids. Each week is intentionally structured to help kids grow through Bible-centered teaching, creative activities, recreation, and hands-on experiences such as field trips, music lessons, art projects, and more.
We are looking for caring, energetic team members who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact during the summer. Our staff help create a safe, encouraging environment where kids can learn, play, and grow in their faith. Team members will lead activities, assist with daily routines, and build meaningful relationships with the children in our program. All staff are background checked and trained specifically for Summer Days to ensure a safe and supportive experience for every child.
